2025 Spring Convocation

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics would like to extend a big congratulations to the  2,440 students who will earn their degrees, diplomas, and certificates at the 2025 Spring Convocation at the University of Regina. This year, there will be one doctoral degree, four masters degrees, 17 bachelors degrees, and one certificate given to graduates with majors in actuarial science, applied mathematics and statistics, mathematics, and statistics on June 12th, 2025. In addition, the Department would like to extend a special congratulations to Dr. Jim Tomkins as he earns his Doctor of Laws honoris causa (LLD). Dr. Tomkins was a mathematics professor at the University of Regina for over 25 years before becoming the University of Regina’s sixth President and Vice Chancellor from 2007 - 2008, and later as its eighth Chancellor from 2013-2019. 

Please join the Department in celebrating the terrific achievements of our graduates and in expressing gratitude to those who helped them along the way. We wish all of the graduates good luck as they begin their new chapters in life!
