  5. Campus abuzz as Welcome Week kicks off with epic move-in day

As the University community readies for the beginning of the 2023 fall semester, the newest campus residents were busy getting their pillows, clothes, and air fryers into the dorm rooms and apartments that they will now call home. Here’s a peek into some of yesterday’s happenings.

“Well I’m excited,” explains Camryn Murray, (at left) Student Affairs, Move-in Day Helper. “I’m thankful that I can move in earlier and help students as they come in because being in your first year is really nerve wracking so having lots of support and people telling you where you need to be and when you need to be there can be a lot of help. As well as getting everything to your room in one trip is super convenient. Yeah, it’s a really beautiful day, lots of help and support from everyone across the campus, I’m excited. “I’m excited and a little bit nervous just for the new dynamic, moving in by myself, but it will be nice,” said Logan Hase, a Business Administration student from Estevan, Saskatchewan. “I have roommates and I’m excited to meet them, that’s my main thing.” Photo credit: University Advancement & Communications
