Surplus Sales (Salvage)

All assets acquired by the University of Regina, whether purchased, donated, or otherwise obtained, remain University property until disposed of per the Management of Assets policy. Assets purchased with University funds, regardless of the funding source, are University property. This includes assets from research, general operating, professional expense, trust, capital accounts, or other University funds.

Asset Disposal Process

Authorization: Assets authorized for disposal by faculty or administrative units are sent to Supply Management Services (SMS) at purchase@uregina.ca.

Verification: SMS verifies the asset's description and condition, including all computer-related equipment.

Available Surplus Items

Surplus items are available for other departments or open for public bids. To place a bid, complete the Salvage/Surplus Bid Form below.

Department Requests

Departments interested in surplus equipment should contact SMS at purchase@uregina.ca before the closing date by filling out the Salvage/Surplus Bid Form or emailing SMS. Items are allocated on a 'first-come, first-served' and 'need' basis.

Personal bids can be submitted using the Salvage/Surplus Bid Form below.

Terms of Sale

Condition: All items are sold 'as is, where is.'
Payment: Accepted bids are to be paid by cash, credit card, or cheque made payable to the University of Regina, and delivered to Financial Services located in Administration Humanities building, room 205, at the time the items are picked up.
Priority: Departmental use takes precedence over personal sales.
Tax: Personal purchases (excluding vehicles) are taxed on the selling price, minus a $300 deduction per item.
