Regina Seedy Saturday 2026
Seedy Saturdays are annual community events held across Canada that celebrate seed saving, gardening, and local food security. These fun, affordable events bring people together to swap and share seeds, discover new varieties and the stories behind them, attend workshops and talks, meet vendors, and purchase seeds from local and national seed companies. Whether you are a first-time gardener or an experienced seed saver, there is something for everyone.
Regina hosts its own Seedy Saturday on the first Saturday of March each year. The event welcomes seed savers, growers, artisans, small businesses, and community organizations as vendors, offering an opportunity to showcase seeds, plants, products, or services while connecting with passionate gardeners and food advocates. Regina Seedy Saturday celebrates sustainability, seed diversity, and local resilience and is currently organized by Tayef, following many years of leadership by Sharon Pratchler, former Ombudsperson of Saskatchewan.
