Adynea Russell, Board Chair

Adynea Russell, FCPA, FCA, is a Partner in MNP’s Assurance Services group, based in the Regina office. She has held several leadership positions at the national level, most recently as MNP's Vice-President Assurance. With over 25 years of experience in public practice, she works closely with private enterprises of all sizes, delivering audits, reviews, compilations, tax planning, and strategic business advice.  In her leadership roles, Adynea has helped lead the evolution of how assurance and related engagements are being performed, from highly manual with very limited technology all the way to using AI, robotic process automation and other technologies to automate and provide efficiencies and greater insights.

Adynea is actively engaged in her profession and community, currently serving as the Chair of the CPA Saskatchewan Professional Practice Committee and previously represented CPA Saskatchewan on the University of Regina Senate. Adynea previously served on the Private Enterprise Advisory Committee for the Canadian Accounting Standards Board, and was a board member of CPA Saskatchewan Board, YWCA and Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish Finance Council. In 2019, Adynea was a YWCA Regina Women of Distinction Nominee.

Adynea grew up in Yorkton, Saskatchewan and moved to Regina where she received her Bachelor of Administration at the University of Regina while she played on the U of R Cougar Women’s volleyball team. She obtained her CPA in 1998 and FCPA, FCA in 2020.

Kyle Addison, Board Vice-Chair

Kyle Addison is the Chief Operating Officer of Mitchell Developments Ltd., a full service commercial development and asset management company that owns and manages over 1,800,000 square feet of commercial office and warehousing property throughout Saskatchewan. Prior to Mitchell Developments Ltd., Kyle served as Chief of Staff to the Mayor at the City of Regina, and was elected as President of the University of Regina Students’ Union for two successful terms.

Kyle has an extensive record of volunteer work and community involvement, currently serving as Romania's Honorary Consul to Saskatchewan, and Vice Chair of the University of Regina Board of Governors.  He was also Chair of the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce, board member of Regina Exhibition Association Ltd., board member of the University of Regina Alumni Association, Chair of the University of Regina Students’ Union, board member of the George Reed Foundation, and board member of the McMorris Foundation. 

A proud alumnus of the University of Regina, Kyle received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Paul J. Hill School of Business in 2012.

In 2022, Kyle received the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal.

Leanne Bellegarde, KC

Member Appointed by the Province of Saskatchewan

Ms. Bellegarde is an executive, lawyer, and business advisor with 30 years of leadership experience across a number of industries. Ms. Bellegarde is a coach and consultant, operating out of Asimakaniseekan Askiy Reserve in Saskatoon.  With extensive business and executive experience in senior roles with Potash Corp., Nutrien Ltd. and the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority, The Edwards School of Business, and board experience on the Saskatchewan Research Council, Prairie Sky Royalty, File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council Development Corporation, Sustainable Development Technologies Canada, and a Smart Cities jurist, she brings a depth and breadth of experience to the Board of Governors.

Ms. Bellegarde holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Saskatchewan, and was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2017 and was the recipient of the Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2021. Ms. Bellegarde currently sits on the board of directors of the Saskatchewan Research Council and several business enterprises. Ms. Bellegarde is from Treaty 4 Territory in south Saskatchewan and is a proud member of the Peepeekisis Cree Nation.

Dr. Andrew Cameron

Elected Faculty Member

Andrew Cameron is a Professor in the Faculty of Science. He was elected in 2023 by faculty to serve on the Board of Governors. Andrew teaches genetics and microbiology in the Department of Biology and in the Faculty of Nursing, he is graduate coordinator for the Department of Biology, and he leads a research laboratory to provide undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral researchers opportunities of discovery in microbiology and genetics.

Andrew’s research explores how genes and their functions connect humans, animals, and environments in a ‘One Health’ framework, with a particular focus on the evolution of antimicrobial resistance. He co-founded and co-directs the Institute of Microbial Systems and Society in the Faculty of Science (www.urimss.ca). IMSS provides advanced research infrastructure for collaborations and training with regional, national, and international partners across academia, government, industry, and non-governmental organizations. Andrew and IMSS specialize in developing genetic tools to detect pathogens and understand microbial ecosystems. His team works to translate research discovery into applications in public health, agriculture and water security in Saskatchewan, and to understand the ecology of antibiotic resistance and zoonotic diseases across Canada and Central and Southern Africa.

Cadmus Delorme, Chancellor

Cadmus Delorme is a Founding Partner of Flowing River Capital Group, which includes companies like OneHoop Advisory Services. In this capacity, he serves as the Chair for numerous portfolio companies. Previously, Cadmus served as Chief of the Cowessess First Nation from 2016 to 2023. Cadmus' work, both with his current companies and during his time as Chief, is centered on three core pillars: economic self-sustainability, political sovereignty, and cultural rejuvenation. He emphasizes the vital role that both Canadians and Indigenous Peoples must play today, recognizing their shared history and advocating for long-term strategic relationships to build a society where all can thrive.

Cadmus is a proud member of the Cowessess First Nation and has a long history with University of Regina and its affiliated colleges. Growing up in Cowessess and the surrounding First Nations communities, Cadmus earned his Grade 12 diploma from the Cowessess Community Educational Centre. He continued his education at the First Nations University of Canada, a federated college of the University of Regina, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelors in Administration. In 2016, Cadmus earned a graduate degree in Public Administration from the Johnson Shoyama School of Public Policy. He also holds an Institute of Corporate Directors Designation (ICD.D) from Rotman University, in affiliation with the Kenneth Levene Graduate School of Business. In recognition of his achievements, Cadmus received an Honorary Degree in Applied Studies from the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Institute in 2023 and an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Laws from Athabasca University in 2025.

Cadmus is a devoted family man, married to his wife Kimberly, with whom he has three children. His commitment to family life is a central part of his values, grounding both his personal and professional endeavors.

Monica Deters

Member Elected by the Senate

Monica Deters, BHJ '04, MPA '09 has worked in policing for 24 years in a variety of roles with both the Regina Police Service and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). Monica is currently a Manager of Crime Analysts for the Saskatchewan Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in their Major Crimes Branch. Their unit is responsible for conducting analytical work to assist all units in the Major Crimes Branch as well as detachments throughout the province with their serioud crime incidents. Monica also sits on the RCMP Gender Based Harassment Committee and their EDI Committee. Monica is a passionate leader who is an advocate for Diversity and Women in Leadership.

Monica also maintains deep connections to her community through a variety of volunteer work. She is committed to girls in sport and Safe Sport advancement. She is currently an Assistant Coach with the University of Regina Women’s Soccer Team and played on their inaugural (2001) team. She has been involved in coaching in Regina for 25 years with FC Regina (formerly ACFC). She is a Board Member with Saskatchewan Women in Policing, the University of Regina Alumni Association and the University of Regina Women's Soccer Alumni Association. Monica also volunteers with the International Association of Crime Analysts (IACA) on their Canadian Sub-Committee and Technology Committee. Monica has been a sessional lecturer in the Justice Studies Department as well as a supervisor for practivum placements from the Department.

Monica resides in Regina with her fiancé and her daughter.

Karri Howlett

(Chair, Human Resources Committee)

Karri has 25 years of experience in corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, financial due diligence, and risk analysis. She works with businesses and community organizations through her consulting practice, Karri Howlett Consulting. Karri currently sits on the Boards of NexGen Energy (TSX: NXE) (NYSE: NXE) (ASX: NXG) (as Chair of the Sustainability Committee), Gold Royalty (NYSE: GROY) (as Chair of the ESG Committee), and March Consulting (as Chair of the Audit Committee). Karri previously served as the Chair of the Safety, Environment and Corporate Responsibility Committee for SaskPower, leading the development and implementation of net zero carbon emissions strategies for a large carbon-based power utility.

Karri was previously President of RESPEC Consulting Inc. (formerly North Rim Exploration Ltd.), which is a geoscience and engineering consulting company based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and led the acquisition of the company in 2009, followed by the subsequent sale to RESPEC in 2016. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (with Honours) in Finance from the University of Saskatchewan and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, as well as the Chartered Director designation. In addition, Karri has several leadership and professional training certifications in environment, social and governance (ESG) investing (through the CFA Institute), corporate governance, leadership, strategy, and risk.

An active community member, Karri has previously served on several community and professional boards. Karri was previously a lecturer in the Department of Finance at the University of Saskatchewan’s Edwards School of Business, a participant in the Leadership Development Program, and a protégé in the Betty Ann Heggie Womentorship Program. Karri lives in Saskatoon with her husband, Jeff, and has two adult children.

Dr. Jeff Keshen, President and Vice-Chancellor

Dr Jeff Keshen became the University of Regina's eighth President and Vice-Chancellor on July 1, 2021. He joined the University after serving for three-and-a-half years as Vice-President of Memorial University of Newfoundland's Grenfell Campus in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador.

While at Memorial, Dr Keshen focused on two main initiatives. The first was the development of a strategic plan for the Grenfell Campus that included commitments to student success, Indigenization, and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. Implementation of the plan helped generate considerable success in developing programs that encouraged leadership in young people, including programming for vulnerable and Indigenous students. The second major inititative was strengthening Grenfell's connections to the Corner Brook community and region. Innovative partnerships with all levels of government, the education sector, and industry resulted in large-scale projects such as a new regional aquatic centre, a centre for research and innovation, and management of the Bonne Bay Marine Station.

Prior to his time in Memorial, Dr Keshen served as Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Mount Royal University in Calgary. Before that, he served as Chair of the Department of History at the University of Ottawa and was an Adjunct Professor in the Centre of Military and Strategic Studies at the University of Calgary.

Dr Keshen lives in Regina with his wife, Deborah Moynes-Keshen and two children, who both attend the University of Regina.

Mark Lang, FCPA

(Chair, Audit and Risk Management Committee)
Member Appointed by the Province of Saskatchewan

Mark is the former Regina Office Managing Partner for KPMG. He joined the Regina office in 1981 after graduating from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce. Mark has also been the Audit Business Unit Leader for KPMG Regions West and a member of the Board of Directors of KPMG.

In conjunction with a 40 year career with KPMG, Mark has maintained long and sustained involvement with his community. He is currenlty the Audit and Risk Management Chair for the University of Regina. He has previously served in various capacities including Chair on the Boards of Regina Downtown, Regina Globe Theatre, Queen City Kinsmen Club and Wascana Country Club. He was also the Finance Chair for Economic Development Regina and for the 2018 Memorial Cup, the Sponsorship Chair for the 1998 Scott Tournament of Hearts and the Finance Chair for Kinsmen Telemiracle 14.

Mark was the recipient of the Chartered Accountants Distinguished Community Service Award in 2005. In 2019, Mark was awarded the Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant designation recognizing his contributions to the CPA profession and community.
