Program Overview

• Value: $10,000 CAD
• Number of awards: Up to three
• Duration: One academic year
• Level: Undergraduate (bachelor’s degree only)
• Administrator: Scholarship Partners Canada (SPC), a division of Universities Canada
• Funder: Department of Canadian Heritage (Government of Canada)

Eligible candidates must:

• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
• Be entering the third or fourth year of their first bachelor’s degree in autumn 2026
• Be enrolled in their studies on a full‑time basis
• Have applied to or registered for a 1–2 semester academic exchange at a recognized Canadian university for 2026–2027
  • The exchange must be credit‑bearing and completed through a formal exchange agreement or a national/provincial exchange programs ONLY
• Pursue the exchange primarily (more than 50% of courses) in their second official language
• Demonstrate sufficient language proficiency to study in that language 

Ineligible programs of study include:

• Translation
• Professional degrees pursued after a first bachelor’s degree (e.g. B.Ed., LL.B., M.D.)
