Program Overview

• Value: $10,000 CAD
• Number of awards: Up to three
• Duration: One academic year
• Level: Undergraduate (bachelor’s degree only)
• Administrator: Scholarship Partners Canada (SPC), a division of Universities Canada
• Funder: Department of Canadian Heritage (Government of Canada)

Eligible candidates must:

• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
• Be entering the third or fourth year of their first bachelor’s degree in autumn 2026
• Be enrolled in their studies on a full‑time basis
• Have applied to or registered for a 1–2 semester academic exchange at a recognized Canadian university for 2026–2027
  • The exchange must be credit‑bearing and completed through a formal exchange agreement or a national/provincial exchange programs ONLY
• Pursue the exchange primarily (more than 50% of courses) in their second official language
• Demonstrate sufficient language proficiency to study in that language 

Ineligible programs of study include:

• Translation
• Professional degrees pursued after a first bachelor’s degree (e.g. B.Ed., LL.B., M.D.)

The Ministry of Foregin Affairs (SRE), through the Mexcian Agency for Development and Internatioanl Cooperation (AMEXCID), invites foreigners interested in studying in Mexico to participate in the call for submissions from 170 countries around the world.

Financial support durations:

• Undergraduate - 12 months max
• Master's - 12-24 months max
• Doctoral Research Stay - 6-12 months max
• Postdoctoral Research Stay - 6-12 months max
