Regional Colleges
Learn Where You Live
You can take University of Regina courses in your home community through partnerships with regional colleges across Saskatchewan. As a U of R student, you’ll complete your courses locally, either in person, remotely, or through live-streamed classes, without needing to relocate.
Staying In Your Community
You have your own reasons for wanting to begin your university journey in your community. Your support network is there, you can save money living and working at home or maybe you're not ready to move out just yet. Whatever the reason, courses at regional colleges are a great way to ease into, and succeed in, university life.
For my first year, I chose to take U of R classes at Great Plains College. I wanted a smooth transition from high school to university. I was able to continue living with my family, save money, and study in all of my favourite study spots I enjoyed during high school.
I also enjoyed small class sizes and my professors had more time to interact with students.
Smaller Classes, Flexible Pathways and Scholarships
Smaller class sizes also allow for more personalized interaction with instructors and greater access to academic support.
Students can begin their studies through a regional college and continue their program at the University of Regina campus, providing the flexibility to start close to home while working toward a U of R degree.
Students studying through regional colleges may be eligible for specific scholarship opportunities. Find out more by visiting your regional college’s website.
