Michael Horacki completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Regina, Master’s at Queen’s University, and PhD in English at the University of Saskatchewan. Michael’s primary research areas are assemblage theory, modernisms, interwar British literature, horror fiction, and political theory. His work broadly focuses on various forms of interactions between individuals and groups, and how these interactions shape both personal and collective identity. His current projects include an analysis of how WWII shaped conceptions of personal identity in Evelyn Waugh’s post-war fiction, a comparative study of H.P. Lovecraft’s and Virginia Woolf’s responses to WWI, and an analysis of Donald Trump’s second presidency as conceived through the tropes of horror fiction.
