Dr. Kristin Ciupa’s research examines the intersections of law, markets, technology and power relations, and how they shape contemporary forms of extractive capitalism.

Dr. Ciupa is President of the Canadian Association for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (2025-2027), and served as the Association’s Treasurer from 2021-2025.
