Overview of the Presentation:

As economies mature and slow in growth, innovation will prove to be a key driver in maintaining transient advantage.  This presentation will cover the latest in the area of organization innovation, including the development of InnovationOne – a metric to empirically measure innovation culture in organizations.  The metric has been used by over 2,000 organizations across North America, including a number of Saskatchewan organizations. 

The presentation will provide insight into common hurdles faced by some of North America’s most prominent companies, and will compare scores across countries.  It will also present operational and strategic considerations to advance innovation platforms in organizations. 


Speaker Bio
:

Dr. Brooke Dobni is a Professor of Management at the Edwards School of Business and a Principal of Strategian, a consulting services firm that focuses on helping organizations advance their strategy and innovation platforms.  In 2010, Strategian joint ventured with Lodestar Corp from Princeton, New Jersey.  Combined, they have completed consulting engagements with organizations such as EDS, Hitachi, PotashCorp, Cameco, GE Healthcare, Pfizer, America Express, LexisNexis, Accounting Today, J.P. Morgan, and Oracle.
On the research side, Dr. Dobni has published over 30 peer reviewed articles that focus on strategy and innovation.  This knowledge has resulted in the development of InnovationOne – a metric to assess and advance innovation culture in organizations.  The metric has been used by over 2,000 organizations across North America since 2005, including an F1000 executives’ white paper on the state of innovation amongst the U.S. Fortune 1000.
