M. Admin Leadership Admission Information

Applications for Levene graduate programs are considered on an on-going basis and in the order received. Apply as early as possible to ensure your application can be processed in time for your desired program start. Applications received after the deadline are considered but may not be processed in time for the desired entry point, or in time to obtain a student visa. Deadlines are:

  • March 1 for September start 
  • July 1 for January start 
  • October 1 for May start 

Applicants are admitted through the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR) and must meet the following admission standards:

  1. Four-year undergraduate degree with a minimum grade point average equivalent to Canadian 70%
    • Sealed and official transcripts from all former post-secondary institutions attended by the applicant must be sent directly to the Levene Graduate School of Business by your former institution(s). Envelopes must bear an official institutional stamp across the seal. Transcripts in any language other than English or French must be accompanied by a certified literal translation.

      MyCreds for participating institutions:

      The University of Regina receives official transcripts issued through MyCreds. You can check here (https://mycreds.ca/members/member-directory/) to see if your institution is part of the network. When you share your official transcript in MyCreds please choose the University of Regina from the list of available institutions.

      Starting October 2, 2022, students with international credentials applying to the Faculty of Business Administration programs MUST provide all post-secondary transcripts and degree certificates through the WES ICAP course by course evaluationPlease see instructions.

2. Applicants are normally required to have at least two years full-time work experience

  • Experience must be obtained after completion of undergraduate degree
  • Internships, work placements and co-operative education placements are not accepted as work experience
    • Students are required to submit their resume/CV using the CV template. We also ask students to submit their CV as is. Please provide both documents.
3. Two (2) official reference letters are to be submitted and are considered official when:
  • Received from secure email link sent from the reference listed in your application
  • Received in an envelope that is sealed and bears the referee's signature across the seal of the envelope
  • Sent to Grad.Docs@uregina.ca from the referees' verifiable email address

The two letters of reference are to be from persons (ie. academics, employers) who can critically assess the applicant's ability to do research and advanced courses, and who cannot be a closely associated person or another current graduate student.

4. International applicants must submit proof of English proficiency if their language of instruction in their undergraduate degree was not English. (score cannot be older than 2 years):

  • Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL): 70
  • CanTEST: 4.5 with No Band below 4.0
  • IELTS (Academic Version): 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each band
  • MELAB: 85
  • PTE Academic:59
  • TOEFL Paper-based: 580/ Internet-based (DI code: 0830): 80 with a minimum of 20 in each of the four component
  • U of R ESL: Advanced EAP 050
  • Duolingo: 120


Mid-Career option: Management professionals who do not meet the required GPA or those who do not have an undergraduate degree, but who have a minimum of seven years suitable work experience and have completed any 10 undergraduate courses with a grade of no less than 70% in each may qualify for the mid-career option. Note: Meeting these minimum requirements is not a guarantee of acceptance into the program.

Transfer Credit Policy
Transfer credit policy allows up to twelve (12) credit hours to be transferred into the Levene M.Admin Program from other institutions. Courses being transferred must be approved in advance by the Faculty of Business Administration and the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research at the University of Regina.
