Certificate of Extended Studies in Inclusive Education

Enhance your knowledge and expertise in fostering an inclusive classroom. The Certificate of Extended Studies in Inclusive Education takes a needs-based approach to inclusive education that recognizes the importance of individualized, flexible and responsive supports for students. By equipping yourself with key tools and techniques, you can effectively support your students while maintaining balance and effectiveness in your classroom.

By the end of the program you’ll be able to:
  • Assess individual students and their behaviour
  • Provide positive behaviour support
  • Approach diverse students in a sensitive manner
  • Provide quality education for all your students

This 10-course certificate program, with emphasis on face-to-face delivery, provides teachers with the opportunity to learn from instructors who have extensive experience in the field.

Students who have not taken EPSY 322 or ESPY 400 or ESPY 418 to fulfill the requirements of the B.Ed degree can use this course towards the electives for this certificate.

Please note that EPSY 322 is equivalent to EPSY 400 and EPSY 418. Students will only receive credit for one of the following EPSY 322 , EPSY 400, or EPSY 418.*
