The Certificate of Extended Studies in Inclusive Education takes a needs-based approach to inclusive education that recognizes the importance of individualized, flexible and responsive supports for students. By equipping yourself with key tools and techniques, you can effectively support your students while maintaining balance and effectiveness in your classroom.

By the end of the program you’ll be able to:
  • Assess individual students and their behaviour
  • Provide positive behaviour support
  • Approach diverse students in a sensitive manner
  • Provide quality education for all your students

This 10-course certificate program, with emphasis on face-to-face delivery, provides teachers with the opportunity to learn from instructors who have extensive experience in the field.

  • Courses to complete: 10
  • Credit hours: 30 credit hours
  • Pre-requisites:
    B. Ed. degree AND
    EPSY 322 OR EPSY 400
    Students who have not taken EPSY 322 or 400 to fulfill the requirements of the B.Ed degree can use this course towards the List B requirement for this certificate.
  • Program duration: Part-time study
