  • Students enrolled in a Canadian high school and holding a Student Visa will be required to pay domestic tuition fees, not international fees.
  • Upon admission to the University of Regina for an undergraduate program after graduating from high school, students become eligible for the Tuition Reimbursement Award. This award is applied to the student's account during the first semester of their studies after the add/drop deadline. Students may study full-time or part-time to be eligible for the award.
  • Students have a window of 14 months following their high school graduation to join the University of Regina and claim the Tuition Reimbursement Award.
  • The reimbursement amount will be equal to the tuition fee at the time the class was taken. The award covers tuition and mandatory fees, but textbooks and materials are not included.

FAQs

Who can apply for the HSXL Program?

Students must meet basic admission requirements to participate in the program. Students must have a minimum high school average of 65% on two consecutive years of high school academic courses. Please refer to the Admissions page for more information.

Why is this program beneficial?

Not only will students be able to take one or two university courses before they finish their high school, but students may also choose to obtain the corresponding dual credit high school course!

Instructors for these courses are chosen very carefully with high school students in mind and extra support will be built into this experience. Students will be able to try out a class or two, get a feel for what university classes are like, and gain confidence before starting a regular university program of study.

Students will also have the benefit of lightening their load during their first term or two after already completing one or two courses.
