Bright's Story - Summer Courses

Bright's Story - Summer Courses

Hello, my name is Bright. I am in my third year of my studies at the University of Regina. Currently, I am working towards completing my Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in combined Mathematics and Computer science with a minor in Statistics. I am currently an executive member of three University of Regina student societies namely, the Computer Science Student Society (CSSS), Math-Actuarial-Statistics Student Society (MASS) and Science Student Society (SSS).

During my first semester, I found out about summer courses. Summer classes fill up quickly once class registration is made available. Therefore, every winter semester I always made sure I write down the classes I want to take during summer. This was my way of ensuring that I register for summer classes without missing my desired classes.

I have always taken summer classes. I started taking summer classes as a way to get ahead in my program. Taking summer classes has been a great opportunity for me to further my academics while working full time. Summer classes provided me with daily accessibility to my professor because my classes were four days a week. This means I am sure to see the professor the next day to ask any question regarding previous day topics which I might be in need of further clarification.

I encourage any student to take summer classes if they are looking to speed up their program.
