DUTIES:

  • Working closely with staff in interrelated functions such as budgets, investments and banking, and enterprise risk management
  • Obtaining certificates of insurance as required by external organizations
  • Maintaining the central database for certificates of insurance requested by the University
  • Managing the University's insurance portfolio
  • Facilitating the insurance claim process
  • Monitors and controls the operating budget
  • Maintains and prepares the operating fund budget book
  • Manages position control in the Finance and Human Resources system for existing and new positions
  • Calculates and accounts for year-end carry forwards
  • Provides computer, budget and financial advice upon request
  • Develops computer based financial and budgeting models and reports
  • Preparing Board reports
