Dean's Message
Welcome to La Cité universitaire francophone at the University of Regina.
At La Cité, we have the responsibility and privilege of supporting and promoting French and bilingual post-secondary education in Saskatchewan. As a prospective or current student, you are joining a dedicated community of undergraduate and graduate students and academics in a variety of French and bilingual programs on campus. Whatever your path, you will find it at La Cité.
Our vision is to provide a learning environment where the French language is a force that unites, broadens horizons, and creates opportunities. La Cité plays an essential role in the cultural and linguistic development of the campus as the beating heart of the University of Regina's francophone community.
In collaboration with other faculties, we offer a wide selection of programs and courses in Social Work, Nursing, with le Bac (Education). We offer a wide variety of different programs through our collaboration with the University of Ottawa that allows La Cité students to take courses they are passionate about. Along with scholarships, academic support, mentoring, internships, and mobility opportunities, La Cité ensures you are successful in whatever you choose. These resources enable our students to build solid career paths and thrive in a variety of fields.

Our Mission
The mission of La Cité universitaire francophone is to fulfill the university education needs of Saskatchewan’s Francophones, whatever their first language. La Cité plays an active role in the cultural, linguistic and professional development of the Fransaskois community by offering credit and non-credit courses and programs.
In this context, La Cité initiates, encourages, develops and supports research and the dissemination of academic work in French on issues of concern for Francophone minority communities. La Cité fosters an accessible and stimulating Francophone environment and living space on the University of Regina campus.

Our Mandate

- To support learners by making available to them personalized academic advising and professional development tools as well as services in French.
- To offer innovative experiential opportunities based on pedagogical principles that are interactive, dynamic and stimulating for the student.
