Cristiana Pegoraro-A Piano Recital
Thu., Sep. 18, 2014 7:00 p.m.
Location: Darke Hall, College Avenue Campus, University of Regina
To celebrate the Italian Presidency of the Council of the Europrean Union, the Consulate General of Italy, in collaboration with the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Vancouver, the University of Regina and the University of Saskatchewan, presents a concert by acclaimed Italian pianist Critiana Pegoraro, with music by Mozart, Betthoven, Rossini, Lecuona and Pegoraro herself.
Pegoraro started her career as a pianist at a very early age, devoting the years of her artistic development to perfecting her technique and developing her execution of the works of the great composers. She quickly established herself on the international stage as a classical pianist, but her passion, personality and creativity pushed her beyond classical music, resulting in her being recognized by critics as one of the best interpreters of music by the masters of Latin America, as well as one of the most interesting composers of the newer generation in her own right.
