The Department of Visual Arts invites you to an Art for Lunch talk by Dr. David Fancy titled GOYA: Opera and its minor on Friday, October 2, at 12:00 in RC 050.
Fancy is librettist and director for the premiere of GOYA, a multi-media contemporary opera based on the art of the great Spanish painter. GOYA will be presented on October 2 and 3, at the Shumiatcher Theatre in the Riddell Centre.
Dr. Fancy is Associate Professor, Department of Dramatic Arts/Marilyn I Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts, with specific interests in immanence and performativity, immanence and performance training, and immanence and technology. Fancy has an extensive creative practice as a playwright and director.
