Bio
Dr. Leanne Groeneveld is an associate professor of theatre studies at Campion College. She specializes in medieval and modern religious theatre, especially Passion plays. Recent publications include “The York Bakers and Their Play of the Last Supper,” Early Theatre 22.1 (2019): 37-69; “Theories of Disease, Sanitary Reform and Nineteenth- and Early Twentieth-Century Tourism to the Oberammergau Passion Play,” Studies in Travel Writing 23.3 (2019): 244-62; and “Modernist Medievalism and the Expressionist Morality Play: Georg Kaiser’s From Morning to Midnight,” Acta Universitatis Sapientiae 16 (2019): 81-101.
