Ann-Marie Urban, RN, RPN, PhD

Ann-Marie Urban has practiced clinical nursing and nursing education for more than 25 years. She has extensive experience in the areas of mental health, medicine, long-term care and nursing education. Since coming to the University of Regina in 2011, she has taught in all years of the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and teaches in the Collaborative Nurse Practitioner Program (CNPP) too. Her teaching background includes medicine, mental health, older adults, health education, nursing issues, service learning, pharmacology and health assessment. Ann-Marie's research focuses on understanding what influences nurses and their work and nurses’ physical and mental health. Her other interests include health and well-being; which she has given many presentations and volunteered as a fitness instructor at the YMCA and in the community for over 20 years.
