Title: Data mining techniques for medical diagnosis

Abstract: Data mining also known as knowledge discovery in database, refers to extracting or mining useful information from large amount of datasets. Now a days due to digitization, the size of databases are increasing rapidly. Health care industry contains large amount of information.However, there is lack of data mining techniques to extract useful knowledge from large datasets. We are experimenting with classification data mining techniques such as Decision tree, Artificial Neural Network (ANN) so we can reveal the useful knowledge from medical data which help in diagnosis the problems or by using medical profile of patients the system can predict the chances whether the patient will suffer from a particular disease or not in future.
