50th Anniversary Celebration and Earth Ring Ceremony

Come celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the University of Regina and the renaming of our department! In the morning we will hold a gathering to celebrate our accomplishments over the past 50 years and to share our new department name, logo, and motto with our alumni and friends. Alumnus David Thomas, MSc, PGeo, will present a guest talk for attendees - David is a great speaker, you will not want to miss this! This event will be followed with a lunch, and then the Earth Ring Ceremony for our recent graduates in the afternoon, and a post-event socializing gathering.

The RSVP period for this event has ended, but if you would still like to attend the gathering in the morning, we will have plenty of space available at the venue, and there are a few spots left for lunch as well so please contact Geology.Labinstructor@uregina.ca if you are interested in joining us and have not already RSVPed.

Parking is free on Saturdays, lots 3 and 6 are closest to the Education Auditorium, but we recommend that attendees park in lots 16 or 17 on the west side of campus near the College West Building (where our department is located on the second floor)  since those lots tend to be quite busy even on weekends.
