Title: Three Parameter Generalized Lindley Poisson Distribution
Abstract:
In our previous talk, we discussed how to derive a new statistical model by compounding the Binomial distribution and the three-parameter Lindley distribution. However, the model did not perform well during the parameter estimation process. Therefore, I changed the approach by compounding the Poisson distribution with the three-parameter generalized Lindley distribution. In this talk, I will discuss the probabilistic properties of the new model and its parameter estimation process. I will also compare its performance with the zero-inflated, negative binomial, and traditional Poisson distributions to evaluate how well the new model performs when analyzing overdispersed data with excess zeros.
