Teaching Assistants
Teaching Assistant Applications are now OPEN for SPRING/SUMMER 2026 & FALL 2026.
Only full-time registered students are eligible for Teaching Assistantships (TA) & Lab Assistant positions.
- Spring/Summer 2026 Deadline: Friday, March 20, 2026
- Fall 2026 Deadline: Tuesday, June 30, 2026

TAs are selected in priority of PhD, Masters-Thesis and Course-based students then Undergrad students. All students in good standing defined as a GPA of 80% or more will be given priority as well.
Please remember if you are taking a Coop work term, you will not be eligible for a TA position except in special circumstances.
If you are a successful candidate, you will receive an email notification that a formal letter of appointment has been delivered and is waiting to be accepted through UR Self-Service. Unfortunately due to the number of applications received, unsuccessful candidates may not be contacted.
