Meet Our Featured PIMS Postdoctoral Fellow
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is excited to feature Dr. Himanshu Gupta’s tenureship as a two-year PIMS postdoc under the sponsorship of Dr. Shaun Fallat. His primary research focus is Algebraic Graph Theory, the study of graphs using algebraic methods, but he also enjoys working with matrices, groups, finite fields, and other algebraic objects to study various structural properties of graphs.
Dr. Gupta grew up in a small city in northern India, called Sirsa. After he obtained his Master’s degree in Mathematics at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore with Dr. Arvind Ayyer, he completed his Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of Delaware in 2023 under the supervision of Dr. Sebastian Cioba. Outside of research, he enjoys photography and sketching in his spare time.
