Research
My research is primarily in moral and political philosophy. At present, my two principal research projects respectively concern:
- Our moral responsibilities with respect to future generations;
- The ethics of social and political membership.
Biography
I completed my PhD in philosophy at Queen’s University, during which I was also a Global Priorities Fellow and a Canada Graduate Scholar. In 2022, I was a visiting doctoral researcher in philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley, and an early-career fellow at the University of Oxford’s Global Priorities Institute. By invitation of the Global Priorities Institute, I returned to the University of Oxford in 2023 as a visiting scholar. In the summer of 2026, I will take up a research fellowship at the University of Graz, working with environmental lawyers and moral philosophers on issues related to climate change.
