Bianca Hatin earned her Ph.D. in Experimental and Applied Psychology from the University of Regina (U of R) in 2017. From 2013 to 2018, she held roles as a Sessional Lecturer at the U of R and Campion College, as well as Special Projects Administrator in the U of R President’s Office. In 2018, she joined the University of the West of Scotland as a faculty member, where she taught and conducted research until 2025. She has since returned to the U of R as an Instructor.

Bianca’s research explores the real-world consequences of hemispheric asymmetries, with a particular focus on attention and emotion. Her work combines biological, social, and developmental perspectives, with applications spanning autism, dementia, spatial navigation, and human–animal relationships. Her findings have been published in Cortex and other leading journals, and she maintains active collaborations with colleagues in Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

Equally passionate about teaching, Bianca creates inclusive, interactive, and evidence-based learning experiences across lectures, seminars, and online platforms. She has a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice and is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy.
