Certificate in Indigenous Language I
This 5-course program of study which will familiarize the student with the spoken and written forms of a select Indigenous language. Languages of specialization currently available include, but are not limited to, Cree, Saulteaux (Ojibwe), Dene, Dakota and Nakota. This certificate can also serve as a building block towards more advanced study, including an Arts minor, the Certificate of Indigenous Language II, or (for Cree and Saulteaux) a full degree program and specialized study in language instruction through Indigenous Education.
Note: all program courses specific to individual Indigenous languages must be completed in the same language.
