Valerie Hall

Conservatory Instructor
Voice, Organ

In Her Studio:

Valerie Hall teaches both voice and pipe organ with the Conservatory. Organ lessons with Valerie cost $60 per hour of instruction, and voice lessons with Valerie cost $63 per hour. Valerie teaches students of all ages, depending on background and maturity, with a preference for those 9 years or older. In Valerie’s studio, students are encouraged to work towards exams and/or participate in Music Festival if that suits their goals, and are strongly encouraged to participate in recitals. Valerie specializes in classical voice training. Valerie requires organ students to wear shoes suited to playing the organ (Valerie will discuss this with her students), and both organ and voice students to bring pencils and a notebook or binder. She expects her students to practice regularly.

Valerie Hall is an organist, harpsichordist, and singer (soprano) with a Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Church Music from Concordia University, River Forest, Illinois. She also holds an ARCT diploma in Voice Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Valerie has performed throughout Canada, as well as in the United States and Europe. She founded Regina’s early music vocal ensemble, Schola – a group which she directed for several years and continues to sing with. She is the Founder and Director of Regina Summer Voice Intensive, a week-long voice academy that inspires and cultivates greater interest in solo singing.
