Miranda Van Betuw

Conservatory Instructor
Clarinet

In Her Studio:

Miranda Van Betuw teaches clarinet with the Conservatory. Lessons with Miranda cost $57 per hour of instruction. She is accepting students at this time. Miranda will teach students ages 10 and up (physical size is a factor in playing the clarinet), and will teach any level of student. In Miranda’s studio, students are encouraged to work towards exams, participate in recitals, and to participate in Music Festival. She teaches classical music, mixed with some band repertoire. Miranda requires students to supply their own clarinet before the first lesson. Miranda will communicate about what books to purchase, and can advise about what clarinet to buy if needed. She encourages her students to practice every day, with the amount of time varying depending on age. Beginner lessons are typically half an hour in length.
