Scheduling
Many instructors teach from September to June, however students ask to start every single month and there is almost always a teacher with an opening available in their schedule.
Individual music lessons at the Conservatory are taught one-on-one with an instructor. Lessons are available seven days a week, but sometimes not in all instrument areas (example: if we only have one instructor teaching in a specific instrument they may only teach on Monday and Tuesday nights). In our Private Lesson Placement Form, you indicate your preferred days and we try our best to match you with an instructor on those days.
Accompaniment
There are times when instrumentalists and singers need to work with a private accompanist/coach. The Conservatory has a number of outstanding accompanists who can help students prepare for an important audition, concert, exam, or music festival.
Cost: rates for Accompaniment/Coaching range from $63-70/hour, prorated.
To register, please talk to your accompanist about how much time to book and call the Student Services Non-Credit Office at 306-585-5748.
