BIG Book Sale 2023
June 21-24, 2023

Thanks to the great people who supported the 2022 BIG Book Sale, as both volunteers and book buyers. We look forward to welcoming you back for the 2023 BIG Book Sale which will be held at the Highland Curling Club from June 21-24, 2023 inclusive.

Book Donations can be dropped off at the Highland Curling Club from May 29-June 15:

  • Mondays-Wednesdays from 9:00 am-3:00 pm
  • Thursdays from 11:00 am-8:00 pm

Books will be sorted and ready for sale as follows:

  • Wednesday, June 21 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm
  • Thursday, June 22 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm
  • Friday, June 23 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm
  • Saturday, June 24 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm

Our Mission

The Seniors' University Group (SUG) mission is to promote the value and availability of lifelong learning opportunities for older learners in the community in collaborative partnership with the Lifelong Learning Centre. Those wishing to receive SUG rates for Lifelong Learning Centre courses must be current members of the Seniors’ University Group.

Membership

Seniors University Group (SUG) membership is open to those 50 years of age and over who pay the annual membership fee of $30, which is valid from April 1 to March 31. You can join or update your membership online or by phone to receive SUG member benefits including lower fees for Lifelong Learning Centre day time courses and access to the University of Regina Library at no charge. If you are purchasing or renewing your SUG membership online, you must complete the membership transaction first, then return to register for courses at the discounted rate for members.

For borrowing privileges to U of R libraries, you need to bring your SUG Membership Receipt to the Archer Library. Staff there will provide you with a Library Card to make it possible for you to borrow books.

The Seniors’ University Group has informal groups interested in doing things together including Gems of Regina Tours to places of interest in and around Regina. Email if you would like information about upcoming tours or other events SUG has planned. Note tours are on hold until we can get together again.

If you are looking for a retirement or thank you gift for someone 50 years of age or older, why not get them a SUG Membership?
