Michael's Story - Customized Training
My name is Michael Lavis, Executive Director of a non-profit organization in Regina – Creative Options Regina (COR).
We are a growing organization with over 150 employees working in and around Regina. Partnering with the Center for Continuing Education at the University of Regina has formed an integral part of our professional development plan for the development of our leadership team. With an average employee age of 28 years, the U of R has supported us in providing professional, customized training to ensure our leaders are equipped with the knowledge required to excel in their roles.
Working with the Centre for Continuing Education has been a breeze! They worked together to identify our organizational needs; then developed a proposal that addressed our unique requirements. They were professional, respectful and worked to accommodate our requests at each step of the journey. Most importantly, the course facilitators were knowledgeable and interested in sharing their wisdom with us. They strived to ensure the course content was relevant and applicable to the work we do.
