All undergraduate students who apply for admission for Fall are automatically considered for these scholarships based on your admission - no application is required! 

Types of Scholarships Value Criteria

University of Regina

Entrance Scholarship

$3,000
  • Early admission average of 95% or higher
  • Entering directly from high school* to an undergraduate degree program
  • Apply for early admission by March 15
  • Domestic student (permanent residents, Canadian citizen, refugee, or protected person)
    completing high school at the time of admission
  • To retain this scholarship students must register and remain registered in
    a minimum of 9 credit hours at the University of Regina
    throughout the Fall term, up to and including the last day of classes

  • Early admission average of 93-94.99%
  • Entering directly from high school* to an undergraduate degree program
  • Apply for early admission by March 15

    in a minimum of 9 credit hours at the University of Regina throughout the Fall term,

  • Entering from a secondary school* (or equivalent) or transferring from
    a post-secondary institution
  • Entering on a Study Permit
  • To hold this scholarship students must register and remain registered
    in a minimum of 9 credit hours in the term the scholarship is presented,
    up to and including the last day of classes

  • Admission average of 85% or higher
  • Apply for admission by August 15
  • Entering the University of Regina from a Canadian high school
  • Domestic student (permanent residents, Canadian citizen, refugee, or protected person)
  • Admitted to the Bachelor of Business Administration degree program in
    the Paul J. Hill School of Business
  • To hold this scholarship students must register and remain registered
    in 9 credit hours in the term the scholarship is presented,
    up to and including the last day of classes

  • 3 awards
  • Domestic student (permanent residents, Canadian citizen, refugee, or protected person)
  • Admitted as an Adult Learner for the upcoming Fall term
  • Registered in a minimum of 9 credit hours by August 1,
    and remains registered up to and including the last day of classes

Returning Student

Award

  • 3 awards
  • Domestic student (permanent residents, Canadian citizen, refugee, or protected person)
  • Re-admitted for the upcoming Fall term
  • Has not attended the University of Regina within the immediately preceding 12 months
  • Registered in the Fall term in a minimum of 9 credit hours by August 1,
    and remains registered up to and including the last day of classes

University of Regina

Transfer Student Award

$2,000
  • 3 awards
  • Domestic student (permanent residents, Canadian citizen, refugee, or protected person)
  • Transferred to the University of Regina for the upcoming Fall term from another accredited
    post-secondary institution with a minimum of 24 credit hours completed
  • Admission average of 60% or higher
  • Registered in the Fall term in a minimum of 9 credit hours by August 1,
    and remains registered up to and including the last day of classes

Transfer Student

Scholarship

  • 3 awards
  • Domestic student (permanent residents, Canadian citizen, refugee, or protected person)
  • Admitted to an undergraduate degree program for the first time
    at the University of Regina for the upcoming Fall term
  • Admitted on the basis of previous accredited post-secondary coursework
  • Admission average of 80% or higher
  • Registered in the Fall term in a minimum of 9 credit hours by August 1,
    and remains registered up to and including the last day of classes

Housing Award

  • Admitted to an undergraduate program in the upcoming Fall term
  • Entering a Housing Contract for the first time at the University of Regina
  • Selects an eligible room type
  • Have applied for Housing by April 30 and enter/fulfill an eight-month Housing Contract
  • Be registered and remain registered in 9 credit hours in both the Fall & Winter terms

  • Entering directly from high school or secondary school means entering the U of R in the Fall term immediately following completion of their Grade 12 year and does not include students in the Adult 12 or Upgrading programs.
*$1,500 towards a dorm-style accommodation in Kīšik Towers or the Student Village in Luther College or $1,000 towards a 4-bedroom apartment-style accommodation in Kīšik Towers.
