Experiential Opportunities
#URGradExperience provides additional experiential learning opportunities to complement the career readiness of our graduate students and postdocs. Experiential learning not only provides hands on-training and a built-in advantage in a competitive job market, but helps bolster graduates’ career confidence and expand their professional networks. The University has a proud and established history of work-integrated learning success through co-op educational opportunities and field experiences that prepare graduate students for life and work and contributes to building a better quality of life for people and communities.
FGSR works with Advising and Career Education and other partners to develop career-focussed development, including co-ops, graduate internships, and career mentorship. Our experiential learning initiatives offer supports for students who might not otherwise pursue graduate education (e.g., Indigenous students, Women in STEM).
