Global Engagement
Global citizenship and engagement constitute an invaluable aspect of graduate learning and #URGradExperience. We commit to providing graduate students and postdoctoral fellows with diverse experiences to acquire global citizenship values and intercultural understanding necessary for personal growth and building a sustainable future. FGSR’s graduate collaborative programs offer the opportunity for graduate student mobility, particularly for domestic students, to study and work with numerous international partner institutions.
FGSR has partnered with UR International to expand our international network and develop new exchange opportunities for current graduate students and postdocs:
Global Learning Centre
The Global Learning Centre offers a number of programs, services, and opportunities for graduate students to take part in and enhance their time as University of Regina students.
Global Training Initiatives
In partnership with FGSR, URI’s GTI team offers workshops and programs designed specifically for graduate students and international scholars that nurture a strong sense of community, and support the development of global perspectives and enhance their cultural intelligence.
Mitacs Global Links Program
Mitacs Globalink is a student mobility and research funding program in Canada with many options for incoming and outgoing travel/research for senior undergraduate and graduate students for the purpose of conducting research. Some programs are open to all countries and applications are accepted throughout the year, while other programs are limited to partner countries and are call-based. China Scholarship Council (CSC) - With a decade-long partnership with CSC, the CSC brings quality Ph.D. scholars to the University of Regina.

Morocco
The MEDINA Studies Program (with Universite Internationale de Rabat--International University of Rabat, Morocco): The MEdiNA studies program includes modules with a regional dimension on North Africa, the Mediterranean and the Middle East. In addition to a personalized program of language skills and studies of the EuroMed region, students can acquire proficiency in at least one language (Arabic, Amazigh and / or French). US
North Dakota and Montana Program: The University of Regina grants students the right to pay the same tuition and fee rates of Canadian citizens if they are US citizens and have been residents of North Dakota or Montana for at least one full year prior to the time of admission.
