
Art for Lunch with Lou Sheppard, Performatorium Festival of Queer Performance

Please join the Department of Visual Arts on Friday, September 15th for a talk with visiting artist Lou Sheppard, Performatorium Festival of Queer Performance. Lou will discuss his interdisciplinary audio, performance and installation-based practices. Sheppard’s work focuses on climate crisis, loss, queer ecologies and cosmologies, responding to the material and discursive histories of sites, bodies and environments. Lou’s research is evidenced through graphic notations, scripts and scores which are often performed in collaboration with other artists and in community gatherings. Lou Sheppard will present two performances on Friday, September 15 commencing @ Dunlop Art Gallery @ 6:45pm. For more information, please visit- www.queercitycinema.ca. Art for Lunch is a free speaker series presented by the Department of Visual Art and the Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance.
