How long will it take me to clear Academic Probation?
Once on University Academic Probation, you will be allowed 24 credit hours (8 classes) in order to improve your UGPA to a minimum of 60%.  Your student record will be monitored at the completion of each term by your Faculty.  At the end of a term, if your average is equal to or greater than 60%, you will be considered to have cleared University Academic Probation.  If you do not clear University Academic Probation within the 24 credit hours, an MW will be applied, indicating that you Must Withdraw from university for a minimum of 3 semesters, or apply for acceptance into the University of Regina’s Academic Recovery Program in order to take additional courses.

Some Faculties also have faculty-level Academic Probation regulations.  Be sure to speak with an Academic Advisor in your Faculty to ensure you are fully aware of the academic actions in place for you, as well as the specific rules that your Faculty will be following when assessing your academic progress.
