Due to recent complications when travelling internationally and ongoing COVID-19 concerns there will be no Berlin Field Trip in Spring 2023. We are planning to offer the course again in Spring 2024!

GEOG 396AT - (De)Constructing Berlin: An Exploration of Urban Place and Time

This course offers a multidisciplinary approach to history and human/urban geography of Berlin, Germany. Emphasis is placed on selected themes in the physical, historical, cultural, political, and economic development of the city. The course includes a field trip to Berlin, Germany. ***Prerequisite: Permission of the Department Head is required to register***
6.000 Credit hours

The course will potentially be cross listed with GER 396AA Berlin - Narratives of a City. You enroll in either GEOG 396AT or GER 396AA and get content from both courses. For students not enrolled in a German programme no German knowledge is requiered!

Estimated cost: $4000; internal and external funding is available
