Degree Programs
The undergraduate curriculum in Geography and Environmental Studies can be grouped into 3 major themes that lead to the Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Geography & Environmental Studies, the Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Georgraphy & Environmental Studies, or the Bachelor of Geographic Information Science (BGISc) degrees:
Geography & Environmental Studies (GES) Programs
Geographic Information Science (BGISc) Program
Please note, the fowllowing programs do not accept any new students:
- Human Geography not accepting new students. Please see "GES Programs"
- Physical Geography not accepting new students. Please see "GES Programs"
- Environmental Studies not accepting new students. Please see "GES Programs"
While most geographers tend to focus on one of these themes, a well-rounded Geography education exposes students to components of each. Specific degree requirements can be found in the Undergraduate Calendar.
Are you interested in Geography, but don't want to major in it? Then you should consider obtaining a Minor in Geography and Environmental Studies or a Minor in GIS.
Our graduate program has been suspended until further notice. The Department of Geography and Environmental Studies is not currently offering a regular graduate program.
