English for Academic Purposes Program

Start your studies from home at times to suit your schedule. Remote, credit EAP courses can be taken while your student visa is being processed.

There are fun, online cultural activities planned to introduce you to the city and help you feel at home at our university.

Learn English on Campus

The EAP program offers:

13 weeks of classes per term
3 terms per year
252 hours of instruction per term

The course includes 21 hours of instruction per week.

Classes are held on campus with an average class size of 16 students.

Lecture and Seminar Courses

Lecture classes integrate all language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing, through a theme-based curriculum.

Seminar classes focus on specific language skills.

Term Dates

Please note that the program dates follow the University of Regina's academic schedule.

We accept application throughout the year. However the priority deadline is the recommended deadline to ensure best service and opportunities for enrollment and other ESL services. Registration is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Students are recommended to apply as soon as possible to ensure a spot in the program.

Instructors

All U of R ESL Instructors are accredited by TESL Canada.

Qualified instructors and small class sizes create an optimal learning environment for students at all levels.

Placement Exam

The EAP Placement Exam, or other approved placement exam must be completed within two (2) years of the date of your application to the EAP Program. You will be asked to provide proof of placement on your application.
