Cyrus (Koroush) has been teaching English both as a foreign and a second language for about 19 years, beginning as early as the age of 18 years. He received his TEFL M.A. from IA University, Shiraz, Iran in 2001 and his PhD in TESL from UPM, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Cyrus began his teaching profession at IA University, Iran in 2000, while his research interests led him to pursue studies on “Reading Comprehension”, “ESL Teacher Burnout in Malaysia”, “Vocabulary Textbook Analysis”, and “ESL Professional Development”.

He currently enjoys teaching English language skills to speakers of other languages at the University of Regina.
