Vicki is a native of Ontario, Canada with more than 20 years teaching experience at the post-secondary level.  She earned her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Waterloo and also has done three years undergraduate studies in English at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. 

Vicki obtained her Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the University of Reading, England. She has taught at DCT Hospitality College and was Department Head of Languages In Switzerland from 2001 to 2003. She has also taught at the Technical College in Luzern, Switzerland and more recently at Sheridan College (both at their Brampton and Oakville Ontario campuses) where she was Lead Teacher for the afternoon LINC program.  She later joined the ESL program at the U of R in January, 2012.

Vicki’s main areas of interest are reading and writing, having led workshops on vocabulary building and reading strategies.
