Regina Downtown

Regina - The Queen City

The capital city of Saskatchewan, Regina has a population of less than 200,000 people who enjoy the peacefulness and beauty of a small city, yet have all the conveniences of a big city.

Regina is the sunniest capital city in Canada, with an average of 2,365 sunshine hours every year, and boasts one of the strongest economies in all of Canada.

Wascana Park

Wascana Park, located in the heart of Regina, is one of the largest urban parks in North America, where people can go bike riding, walking, jogging or rowing. You can connect to the path directly from campus.

Transit

If you do not have a vehicle, the City of Regina transit system  provides safe, reliable, affordable and accessible transportation throughout the city.                                                                       

Downtown

Regina Downtown is a busy 24-block area that features more than 700 attractions, such as retail stores, theatres, services and restaurants. Also located downtown is the Cornwall Centre, which is the largest shopping centre in Southern Saskatchewan. During the summer you will find our Regina Farmer's Market on the city plaza every Wednesday and Saturday.                                                                                                                                                        

Attractions

Regina offers many cultural, historical and educational attractions for students, residents and tourists to enjoy, including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Heritage Centre, the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, the Globe Theatre and the Regina Symphony Orchestra, the oldest continuously performing orchestra in Canada.
