Explore 2016 Students

Tell us about yourself.

My name is Emmanuel. I am in CGEP in Quebec. And I am going to the University of Montreal next year .

And I go into Business, a bilingual program, so I think the Explore program will help me, after I will try to be a tax accountant.

Why did you choose the Explore Program?

I have difficulties in English like all of my life, and I choose the Explorer Program to be better in English and because I am going to University. It’s a valuable program, so I needed to improve my English.

Tell us about your experience.

I have been there for like four weeks, so we explore Banff, Jasper. Also, we have activities. We visit Moose Jaw, and our own city is very nice, and at the university we play sport, we learn English, and it’s like, it’s like a day camp. Very nice.

At the beginning I think everybody were shy, but we meet like three days and after we became a big family, everybody know each other. Like yesterday, some left and it was very sad for everybody.

Did you achieve your goals in the program?

Yes I think because my writing in English was kind of good, but my oral was awful. Very awful, but in our class I think we are doing oral each day and two presentations per week, so this is what I needed and this is what I have.

My name is Gabriella. I am studying Innovation and Design in Aguascalientes and I am going to start my seventh semester.

Why did you choose the Explore Program?

Well I want to learn English, so I went to my university and ask someone and they say that this University is a good option to learn English, so that’s why I came here.

Tell us about your experience.

I like it very much because I have been learning English, and also at the same time I am learning new people, so it is interesting, because also I can learn about the culture here because I am from Mexico, so I didn’t know anything about Canada, so it was very nice.

I think it’s a good option to come here to learn, and also you can meet people, so you can make friends from another part of the world. Ya, it’s a good experience.
