Student App Features

The University of Regina Student App is designed with students in mind. Faculty and staff will also enjoy many of the features on the app. There are four content sections - Contact, Academics, Campus Life, and Actions. Here’s what you’ll find under each section:

Contact

  • Emergency Numbers – Quickly connect to 911 or Campus Security by phone, or use the map link to locate Campus Security.

  • Notifications – Receive push notifications from the University's Emergency Notification System (ENS), part of the University's Emergency Notification System. Sign in and stay signed in using your student ID and PIN to continue to receive emergency notifications. (Faculty and staff can also sign in using their employee User ID and PIN to receive emergency notifications.) Note: Make sure you visit the main U of R website and log into UR Self-Service to set or update your PIN, before logging into the app. Ensure your mobile device is set to receive push notifications. If you upgrade the operating system on your mobile device, please log into the app and sign in again.

  • Important Numbers – Phone numbers, e-mail and map links (on-campus only) for services including:

    • Academic Advising – Connect to academic advising by faculty and college.
    • Safety, Health & Security – Connect to support and resources related to safety (e.g., chemical and lab safety), health (e.g., Aspen Medical Centre), and security (e.g., 24-hour Walk Along Service). Also includes several off-campus services such as Problem Gambling Helpline.
    • Student Services – Connect to important student resources and services on campus (e.g., Parking, Student Awards & Financial Aid, Bookstore, Career Centre, IT Support Centre).
  • Feedback – Use this form to submit feedback about the app. Tell us what you like – and what you would like to see – on the app. Use the phone numbers or e-mail links on the form to report technical issues or student data issues.

  • U of R Full Site – This takes you to the full U of R website (non-mobile.)

Academics

  • Bookstore – Connect to the Web Bookstore mobile site to view and purchase your textbooks; swap or sell used textbooks; and shop for merchandise.

  • Class Schedule – Sign in using your student ID and PIN to view your daily or full schedule including class times and locations.

  • Grades - Sign in using your student ID and PIN to view your grades by current or previous terms.

  • Library – Connect to the Archer Library mobile site.

  • UR Courses – Log in to UR Courses.

  • Webmail – Log in to Webmail.

Campus Life

  • Bus Info – Find your bus and check routes on the TransitLive mobile site.

  • Campus Weather – Check the @UofRMetStation Twitter feed from the U of R meteorological station.

  • Career Centre Services – Prepare for your future with services such as career fairs, resume writing, and interview preparation.   

  • Events – Find out what’s happening on campus. Select your interest from categories ranging from athletics to film to public lectures – choose one or choose them all. Note that only categories containing an upcoming event will be visible. Please check back regularly for the latest additions to the calendar.

  • Facebook – Be social. Visit the University's Facebook site and share with your friends.

  • Food Services – Menus, meal plan info and locations on campus through Chartwell’s Food Services.

  • Maps – Find your way by selecting a building on the Main Campus or College Avenue Campus; includes building photos and a description of what’s inside.

  • News – Stay informed with Cougars and Rams headlines, feature stories from the University’s homepage and news releases.

  • Twitter – Follow @UofRegina for campus news, events, and emergency alerts from U of R Communications. #UofR

  • YouTube – Tune into the University's YouTube channel.

Actions

  • Home – Link back to app landing page.

  • About – Main U of R contact info including switchboard, website, mailing address, and privacy policy.

  • Sign In/Out –  Sign in using your nine-digit student ID number and PIN to see your class schedule and grades and receive Emergency Notification System (ENS) push notifications through the University's larger Emergency Notification System.

    • Stayed signed in to receive emergency notifications. Note: Make sure you visit the main U of R website and log into UR Self-Service to set or update your PIN, before logging into the app. Ensure your mobile device is set to receive push notifications. If you upgrade the operating system on your mobile device, please log into the app and sign in again.

    • Faculty and staff can sign in using their employee User ID and PIN to receive emergency notifications.
