City of Regina Henry Baker Scholarships

Description:

The purpose of the Henry Baker Scholarship Program is to:

  • support the aim of the City's economic development strategy to foster the potential of Regina's growing aboriginal community;
  • reflect the City of Regina's commitment to employment equity; and
  • recognize the important role the University of Regina, First Nations University of Canada and Saskatchewan Polytechnic play in our community.
Area(s) of Study: Unrestricted
Value: $2000 (2 awards)
Eligibility:
  • registered as a full-time master's or doctoral student at the University of Regina
  • have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 80%
  • thesis or graduate studies (course based students) relates to a community issue

  • Transcripts (official or unofficial)
  • Attach a two page summary of
    • Your community involvement, volunteerism, and personal or family life experiences
    • Your academic and career objectives
    • Why financial support would be helpful to you
    • Graduate students must also describe how their thesis or graduate studies (for course-based students) relates to a community issue
  • Submission Format: Attachments must be typed and should be no more than two pages
  • Reference letters are not required and will not be considered
  • FULL INFORMATION MUST BE INCLUDED IN YOUR APPLICATION IN ORDER TO BE REVIEWED
