COVID-19 Vaccination Information for International Students

  1. International students and students from other provinces/territories living and studying in Saskatchewan for more than two weeks will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Eligibility is based on the Saskatchewan COVID-19 vaccine delivery phases (by age) and priority populations.
  2. International students will not be required to provide a health card number. Students without a health card number can use another form of government issued ID (e.g. Passport). Students from another province or territory will be required to provide their provincial/territorial health number.
  3. Students without a Saskatchewan health services card number can only be immunized by public health immunizers.
  4. International students are required to call 1- 833-SASKVAX (1-833-727-5829) to book their vaccine appointment once eligible. The call centre is open 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., 7 days per week.
  5. Individuals who started a COVID-19 vaccine series in a different jurisdiction may receive a second dose in Saskatchewan to complete their vaccine series. Individuals who plan to return to the jurisdiction where the first dose was administered within the established interval between doses, are encouraged to complete the vaccine series in that jurisdiction.
  6. All students are encouraged to visit saskatchewan.ca for further information.
