Indigenous Research Showcase Week

Sun., Sep. 23, 2018 11:00 a.m. - Fri., Sep. 28, 2018 4:00 p.m.

Location: First Nationas University of Canada

The University of Regina Research Office is pleased to host the Indigenous Research Showcase Week starting Sunday, September 23 to Friday, September 28, 2018. This is a joint initiative with the University of Regina and its three federated colleges (First Nations University of Canada, Campion College, and Luther College).

This is a celebration of diversity and innovation in a move towards Indigenization on campus as expressed in our our 2015 - 2020 Strategic Plan peyak aski kikawinaw (we are one with mother earth). The content of the week will be determined by participants, but presentations could range from scientific research methods to literary analysis to creative expression, from community development to language teaching to law.

Please stop by the RIC Atrium and mark on our maps where you have worked with Indigenous people or have done Indigenous centred research.

All events are open to community members.  Join us for the launch at First Nations University of Canada for the pipe ceremony, lunch and keynote talk, and as many of the daily events as you can.

Daily presentations have been organized by individual faculties and cover a broad range of topics.  See daily schedules for details:https://www.uregina.ca/research/indigenous-research-day.html
