Dear Students,
Are you interested in an incredible international opportunity? Apply for the 2020 Japan Canada Academic Consortium Student Forum, held in Fukuoka, Japan!
The theme of this year's Student Forum is: "Energy Politics for 21st Century: Searching for the Best Mix”
This is a fantastic opportunity in which a return ticket to Japan as well as accommodation costs are covered by the Japan-Canada Forum. Additional funding is available with the UR Study Abroad Global Education Scholarship in conjunction with this program.
Please join us at our general information meeting on Thursday, October 3rd from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. in the Global Learning Centre, CW 115. In this information session, we will go over the details of the forum itself and the application process.

Description

With mixed-teams involving students from both Canadian and Japanese universities, the forum consists of the following:
  • Expert Lectures & discussions
  • Group work based on different topics
  • Pre-assignment to prepare for group work
  • Field trips around Tokyo
  • Final presentation at Canadian Embassy in Tokyo
  • Final individual report
This program is open to anyone with a general interest in this year’s topic. We welcome applications from students in all academic disciplines. Since all activities will be conducted in English, no prior knowledge of the Japanese language is necessary.
